Are there certain productions and artists that should be highlighted in your large catalog?
All of them, actually. When it comes to awards, then certainly "Bassiona Amorosa", with this ensemble we produced the album "boundless", which won the ECHO Klassik 2014 in the category "Classical music without borders". With the "Lisa Wulff Quartet" Lisa Wulff was nominated for the ECHO Jazz 2017 in the category "Best Instrumentalist of the Year Bass/Bass Guitar". Ecco DiLorenzo, a Munich soul rock, Pecco Billo, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, or our successful children's audio book series "Matze mit der blauen Tatze" are just a few examples that also deserve a mention. Ultimately, all our productions or their artists are all pretty "unique".
How do you look for musical trends that are usable for your label?
If I may be honest, not at all. We are lucky enough to be widely recommended by our artists.
You specialize in artists from certain music genres (jazz, world music, gospel, pop & rock). How do you find a red line for the label despite the diversity?
We deliberately don't want a red line. Music is colorful - we consider individually and together with the artist how and where we can be supportive.
Jazz, classical music, world music - these are all genres in which physical sales of sound carriers are still above average. To what extent does this complement digital music distribution for you and how has its importance developed for you in recent years?
Digital distribution - and we also see this for the genres mentioned - is becoming increasingly important over the years. For us, digital distribution is a building block for being able to "go all in" on the market. The sales figures here have been rising in recent years.
How important is PR & social media in the marketing and promotion of your music?
Very much so. We use a lot of social media to spread our music.
