What are contributors?

Contributors are all the people who were involved in the creation of your eBook and contributed to its creation. These can be different people who have taken on different roles and tasks during the creation process.

First and foremost, the contributors include the author of the eBook. He or she is responsible for the content and writing of the text. The author expresses his or her creative vision and is instrumental in the creation of the work.

In addition, depending on the nature of the eBook and the contributions they make, other people may be named as contributors. Here are some examples of possible contributors

  • Editor: checks the text for linguistic and content accuracy.

  • Proofreader: Proofreading and correcting spelling and grammatical errors.

  • Graphic designer: Designing the cover, layout and formatting of the eBook.

  • Illustrator: Create illustrations or graphic elements for the eBook.

  • Translator: Translate the eBook into other languages, if necessary.

  • Publishing staff: Manage and distribute the eBook in the publishing environment.

Proper attribution of contributors is important to recognise their contributions and give them the credit they deserve. Attribution also helps to ensure transparency and traceability of the creative process.

When you publish your eBook on Feiyr, you have the option to credit contributors. In the metadata of your eBook, you can enter the names of the contributors to document their involvement.
