To ensure that a contributor can be clearly assigned to the correct artist profile on Spotify, the Spotify artist ID must be entered.

When creating a new contributor, a field is available for you to enter the ID. If it is an existing contributor, you can edit it here:

Click on “Search for IDs” to generate automatic suggestions for the artist entered. Please check whether this is the correct profile by clicking on “Check here!” under the ID.
Please make sure that the spelling of the artist on the portal and here on Feiyr is exactly the same. Otherwise a link is not possible.

If the artist does not yet have a release or corresponding profile on Spotify, please wait for the first release with the contributor. Spotify will then automatically create a profile for the artist.

If you want to enter or correct the IDs yourself, proceed as follows:

1. search for the desired artist profile on Spotify
2. click on the options icon with the three dots under the artist name
3. in the drop-down menu under “Share” click on “Copy Spotify URI”
4. paste the copied ID in the field in Feiyr
5. save the form

All releases that are delivered with this contributor in the future will now be assigned to the stored artist profile on Spotify.
