Multi-factor authentication, or MFA for short, is used to protect your account from unauthorised access. It works similarly to the TAN procedure that banks use for online transactions. You have to enter a (changing) six-digit code every time you log in, which prevents hackers from accessing your account.

The codes are created with the help of an authentication app. You therefore need a smartphone to activate MFA. Activation is in principle voluntary. However, since the Feiyr account is an account with sensitive personal and monetary data, we really recommend activating MFA.
