After five successful albums, Salzburg-born rapper
DAME returns with “Zukunftsmusik”, his sixth studio album that will release in November this year.
In the last few years, DAME has gone from underground hero to chart breaker - and not only in Austria. The Austrian rapper fills concert venues in Germany too. DAME is also a
YouTube sensation with over half a million subscribers.
Prior to the album reveal, DAME released “DRUCK”, the first single from “Zukunftsmusik”. DAME’s successful ingredients - varied sounds skillfully mixed with sophisticated beats - are sprinkled throughout the entire album track list.
With success comes pressure though. It’s every artist’s dream to sell out concert venues and write number-one hits, but when you reach the top, that’s when the climb begins. Pressure is the theme of his first single, “DRUCK” (meaning “Pressure” in German): „Du spürst auf einmal diesen Druck, ich geh bis ans Limit, denn nur unter Druck werden Diamanten geformt“ (You suddenly feel the pressure, I go to the limit, because diamonds are formed under pressure).
