YouTube has finally launched its alternative to ad-only content.
YouTube Red will cost $ 9, 99 a month and will initially only be available in the US. US-based users will be offered one month free trial. International pricing and announcing will be presented soon. Paying users will be able to download content and watch it offline. They will also have access to YouTube Gaming, YouTube Music app and Google Play Music. Moving to a paywall model could be appealing for creators who could receive higher revenues.
